Going insane!

With school in full swing I am feeling as though I can’t seem to get anything done on my DND stuff. It may be the most made up story I have ever done when we play on the 20th. I know I have 15 days until the game, but with my assignments due every weekend it is driving me crazy.

Hopefully I can at least get the cave painted in time. I may have to get some help from my fiancé in getting some monsters thrown in before we play.

How do you guys handle school, family, and work while trying to create an awesome tabletop game?

Please give me some advice guys, I am feeling a little overwhelmed. Thanks for the advice!

I am a nerd. There I said it, it's out in the open now. I love Star Trek, Star Wars, Firefly, Doctor Who...and the list goes on and on. I also LOVE to play Dungeons and Dragons. I am the Dungeon Master of a game I run once a month with my friends. This website, my Facebook group, and my YouTube channel, are all out there to show you how I design a campaign and build my dungeons. I usually use Hirst Art molds to create and build my dungeons, however, I have been using foam board and random other objects you might think are trash to create items for our games. Four four weekends a month, I work on the story, the design, and putting the game together. I love that my friends can leave their lives behind for a few hours a month and just immerse themselves in my game. This page will just be blog posts describing things that happen in the games, things that happen while working on my builds, and other thoughts on our dungeons and dragons adventures.

  1. This is a thing that got in my way for a long time as well. My advice is to schedule time to work on your stuff, just like you do with school and work. Hobbies might be something that you do in your spare time, but if you don’t actively make time for them then you’ll get caught up in stuff that take less effort and not get around to it.
