30 Days of Dungeons and Dragons: Day 16

Day 16: Favorite monster abberation

The Tarrasque would be my favorite aberration. They are amazing! I have actually pinned one against my players at one point in time. The fact that there is supposedly only one in existence makes them even more interesting to me. They are a Colossal Magical Beast (according to 3.5e Monster Manual). They don’t have much speed, for such a large creature, but their bit is deadly! They are immune to fire, poison, disease, energy drain, and ability damage. The description of the beast “This scary biped seems about as tall as a five-story building. It carries itself like a bird of prey, leaning forward and using its powerful, lashing tail for balance. It has two horns on its head and a thick, reflective corn apace on its back”.

The fact that only one is in existence and its lair is a mystery, makes me think that it is probably like the Lock Ness Monster. It’s possible it could exist but no one has really ever seen it.

I just find its sheer mass and how powerful it is interesting. It is probably the most powerful creature in the DND universe (please correct me if I am wrong, I am just guessing). It was fun to play and my players absolutely hated it. If you ever unleash one of these upon your players, make sure they are at least level 20 or higher to give them a fighting chance.

Whats your favorite?

I am a nerd. There I said it, it's out in the open now. I love Star Trek, Star Wars, Firefly, Doctor Who...and the list goes on and on. I also LOVE to play Dungeons and Dragons. I am the Dungeon Master of a game I run once a month with my friends. This website, my Facebook group, and my YouTube channel, are all out there to show you how I design a campaign and build my dungeons. I usually use Hirst Art molds to create and build my dungeons, however, I have been using foam board and random other objects you might think are trash to create items for our games. Four four weekends a month, I work on the story, the design, and putting the game together. I love that my friends can leave their lives behind for a few hours a month and just immerse themselves in my game. This page will just be blog posts describing things that happen in the games, things that happen while working on my builds, and other thoughts on our dungeons and dragons adventures.
